Don’t you just hate reading misleading product labels which vaunt organic attributes, only to delve into the ingredients list and find a sickening cocktail of dangerous chemicals.  However, there currently isn’t any specific legislation for organic cosmetics and companies often substantially exaggerate their organic attributes, confusing and misleading consumers.

We only source ingredients from producers who are certified organic with the Soil Association.  This means that we know that our products only contain ingredients which are sourced sustainably, not tested on animals and free from harsh chemicals, nano particles, parabens, synthetic dyes and artificial fragrances.

Some ingredients used in our products, such as Himalayan salt, cannot be classed as organic because as a mineral, they are not grown; only living things can be recognised as organic.  Our Himalayan salt is however 100% pure and natural, containing no additives or anti-caking agents and is formed in ancient oceans with no exposure to pesticides or man-made chemicals.

As our business grows we plan on applying to be certified by the Soil Association’s COSMOS scheme in order to be certified organic in our own right.  In the meantime, rest assured that we will continue to only use the very best organic ingredients in our products wherever an organic option is available.
